Claim for Accident at Work Compensation

Have you been involved in a work place accident where you sustained injuries due to negligence on the employer's part? Then you have every right to claim compensation for injuries or loss of earnings caused due to the accident.

This is a real life incident that occurred with one of my cousins. He was in the process of repairing a machine that was running on high voltage and had asked one of his co-employees to shut it off. The concerned person however failed to do so and my cousin unaware of this touched the machine and died of instant electrocution. Following a long drawn battle, justice was serviced and his employees apart from being jailed were made to pay heavy compensation for the accident. Though the endeavor failed to bring my cousin back, it helped bring the culprits to justice and helped re-affirm my belief in law.

In everyday life, not every such accident lead to death but many a time unsafe working conditions and neglect on the employer's part may cause employees to sustain injuries, both minor and serious in nature. Workers who aren't well versed with the law fear to complain against their employers for fear of losing the job. For all such work accident victims who are skeptical about filing a case, here is a very important piece of information. No organization can throw you out of your job in case you have raised a valid complaint against them. If they have done so, you could sue them for it in addition to claiming compensation for the accident caused.

The employer is paying you for working for his organization and therefore it is his responsibility to provide all the safety measures that ensures your well being.
